Cliff Quay WRC, Ipswich
Rankin D&D were appointed by our regular client, Oracle Solutions, to act as subcontractor to complete the hand demolition of a small outbuilding currently used to house a live actuator, which controls the flow of live water beneath, within a water treatment works serving the Suffolk area. The main challenge for this project was ensuring the safe deconstruction of the structure without resulting in any damage to the actuator and without the live water beneath the building being contaminated in any way. By using temporary works to protect the actuator and additional protection measures to safeguard the live water we were able to deliver the deconstruction works without any disruption to the water supply within the agreed programme period.
